Melinda Wang, MD

Clinical Fellow

My research interests focus on understanding muscle health among patients with early stages of fibrosis in metabolic-dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) through an integrative hepatology lens. I hope to develop strategies to address muscle dysfunction among patients with early stages of MASLD to ultimately improve patient outcomes and health-related quality of life.

After earning an undergraduate degree in biology and comparative literature at Williams college and teaching as a high school math teacher in San Francisco Bay Area, I completed my medical degree and a masters degree in health sciences in translational research at Yale University School of Medicine. I completed my residency in Internal Medicine at UCSF.
